Lessons can absolutely happen whenever she likes. Also I'm not sorry that Thor is hard to tease, because he will pretty much agree to go along with anything that sounds even remotely fun and/or different. Tea parties? Sure, why not!

Al likes him so much. I bet she visits and they have tea parties or whatever is a less 13 year old girl equivalent. She's super curious about his lizards and nutmeg and all the other little details about him. Sometimes she's not sure how to approach him or feels a little unsure because he's so reserved and unlike some of the other quiet adults in her life, she hasn't quite found that hook for them to share yet. She'll keep at it though.

He should teach her something!

Hell's teeth I wrote out a whole long response and my browser redirected me to a network connection page when I hit "post comment". Let's see if I can remember what all I typed out... (spoiler: I won't)

Jean is so easy for Alvis to get along with! It's pretty amazing, really, because usually she's reserved and careful for a time. While she doesn't have the same level of feeling helpless and depending as she did a year ago, Al is still drawn to Protector Types and Jean gives this off in spades. She doesn't remember her deaged time very well but the feeling stuck with her. Besides all of that, the fact that he was willing to hop in a vanship and zip off to her home for vacation was aces. She enjoyed that a lot.

That fact that he is just 2 years older (probably less considering she SHOULD be 14 in May) was a bit of a shock. It makes her look at her own behavior and maturity level. Because he seems so much older, he's not her first thought when she's playing around and being a kid -- he's not on the same level as say Vanya/Norman/Nico, especially since he gives her some of the same advice as Dio. It'd be nice to see them have some lighthearted fun instead of Intense Conversations as they seem prone to do.

Okay, what else... There's more... I will continue my caffeine and think and in the meantime you can reverse me.

Oh, man. Man. Jean has grown so close to Alvis over this last month and it's almost alarming to him how close he's gotten. Like, he's fine with saying what's on his mind, but he isn't used to being this open about things, even. It's a different feeling. Sure, he has friends (even if his closest friend back home died), but Camp has such a different feel and making him feel things he never felt before. Yanno, the whole not having to worry about possibly dying at any time on a mission kind of changes things in his life. And she's right there with him during it.

Like, he's met people at Camp, but not very many. And one of the biggest experiences was never resolved and it means a lot to him that she is able to be there to listen to that. And it's kinda nice to have someone who understands the pain of losing a friend/ally back home.

She is kind of a bright spot in his crap experience at Camp and if it wasn't for her, he'd be a recluse and miserable as all hell. So, thank you, Alvis. You've made Jean a happier boy and I can see him growing a lot through their interactions. ♥

Anyway... Let's start with Hiccup. She had SO MUCH FUN with him during fourth wall. Flying and invention friend! The dragon kind of threw her off... I'm not sure what she was expecting but certainly not something so BIG and REAL. She's pretty glad Toothless didn't eat her or the goats.

I'd really like to see them have more flying and inventing adventures. She's so curious about mechanical workings and I think they could have a lot of common ground.

Lavie.

So many Lavie feelings. And while she can be a lot more headstrong with the mama of the group, their relationship is VERY important to Alvis. Lavie is the picture of Strong Woman and very much what Alvis wants to become as she grows up. Yes, Al tends to be a mini-Dio but the basics are all Lavie... That strength I mentioned before but also the nurturing, drive, and almost obsessive desire to keep their little family together. She takes all of these cues from her chair-throwing female mentor.

And she really feels for Lavie, re: Claus. Alvis watches EVERYTHING and so she knows how upset Lavie gets sometimes and how Claus is absolutely oblivious (but still obviously cares for Lavie a great deal). Boys are so inconsiderate :(! This is her drive behind the Mistletoe Offensive... It all comes from a really good place in her heart but I fully expect it to blow up badly somehow. She's doing it for you!

I'd like to see them have some good talks in the near future.

eeeee yes, Hiccup and Alvis will have all the inventing and flying adventures, omg. they are so cute, cry. Hiccup had a lot of fun with her too, and her mechanical know-how is great. there are a sad, sad number of Vikings still living who like inventing things, and that number is probably in the single digits. let's be bros forever, and one of these days, maybe he can take her for a ride. Toothless DOES like to show off, afterall.

and if he finds out she wants to be able to protect herself, well... he knows that feel. maybe Hiccup will even make her something... like an awesome shield that shoots out a net that ensnares your enemy. 8D WHO KNOWS.

Lavie and Al... Lavie loves her loli, and of course she's super protective of her. but at the same time, a lady's gotta be able to make her own choices. and the boy she brought home--like, home home--wasn't exactly cute... but Jean's (mostly) politeness and helping around the house, plus how he treats Alvis means she'll be rooting her on. Mama Lavie approves. my baby's growing up... /wipes away a tear With everything that Alvis has become--which honestly were things she always was, Lavie thinks, and knew she could do if she put her mind to it--she sees that Alvis is a Big Girl now, and she's Growing Up in all the right ways. (she knows she has Dio and stupid Claus i GUESS. also Lucciola to thank for that, and she's super sorry she didn't get to Camp earlier. ;; Al) She's super proud of everything that Al's accomplished, from the vanship stuff, mechanical and piloting, to how many friends she's made in Camp. and although the family isn't all here, she's really grateful that Al, Claus, Dio, and Lucciola are. there is no end to the family feelings and omg girl we need more cute times cry i will get back to my Lavie tags today i promise.

and i swear to god if Lavie finds out about Al's conniving plans with the mistletoe she will have a very mixed reaction and won't know what to do with you. what why would you do that IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING but i got to kiss Claus....... but vfuipsfdsaiof ALVIS.

She adores Ryuusei in all of his many forms. ...Well, slightly less so when he's a lady but she's working on that.

Their relationship is so cute. He's the big brother she's never had (whether because he was killed off in the great Hamilton Massacre or because the person just didn't exist... who knows) and it makes me pretty happy. I like their give and take -- she surprises him occasionally and he will always be mentor guy. He keeps her encouraged and moving forward instead of becoming overwhelmed and down on herself. It's so easy for her to give in to her low confidence.

It's also nice when they open up to each other and I enjoy their "don't hide stuff" policy because she really only has that with Dio. She has a habit of waiting for cues from other people on how much she can share. This lead to Al holding out with him because Ryuusei was so reserved and she didn't feel comfortable saying anything personal but now that is being resolved so wooo...!

The charm bracelet really touched her. ;; He said she was like the sun!!! She wanted to hug him and never let go -- it was overwhelming. So many good feelings.

I'd like to see them... Hm. Have more talks. She wants to know more about him and his world, especially since he's so reserved. Any and all adventures.

Ryuusei's pretty much made Alvis his platonic forever girl and she'll always be his tiny kung fu princess. He'll be devastated if she leaves camp before he does ;; At first it was because he thought she was way younger than she was and come on, eight year olds don't need to deal with all that crap. He was super surprised to learn she was a tween, pff.

Now it's more that he sees a lot of his slightly younger self in her, as far as the desire to protect the things important to her and trying to do whatever she can to see it through. He doesn't want her to make the same mistakes he did because of that desire. But that aside, he really respects her drive to succeed and better herself. He sees strength in her that she sometimes doesn't see, and wants to help her gain that confidence. He just wants to make sure she isn't trying to take things too far, too quickly and hurt herself. He also tries to tone down the fact he's ridiculously arrogant and overconfident when it comes to fighting when he's around her pffft. SHE HELPS.

I really like the "don't hide stuff" thing, too. It's making it a little easier for him to express his feelings to other people (feelings that aren't "I am going to punch you in the face"). While he personally can't really handle Dio because he's too much like Gentarou (WAY TOO MUCH ENERGY HOLY SHIT), he knows Dio is really important to her and that Dio in return is a good influence on her (sometimes). But between Ryuusei and Alvis, I think it's good on them both. He still needs coaxing to talk sometimes and won't necessarily offer information, but if he's asked, he won't lie to her.

She is the little sun in his world ;; Even when he's in a terrible mood, she always manages to make him feel a little better, and she usually has that infectious bubbly happy demeanor. He'll probably be giving her more charms for that as time goes on (he probably managed to score one when he went into space with the pirates for vacation). I think she also gives him a bit of a sense of family, as headcanon dictates he's an only child and his family is literally the only one of the KRC never mentioned or shown in the series so we kind of assume the parents are out of the picture for some reason or another (not necessarily dead, but he could be living alone for school being too far away or something). That said, he'll definitely be on the tail of any boy who expresses interest in her because he'll accept nothing but the best for her. PAPABEAR. (papacorgi??? he can bite ankles :E)

More talks are great! He probably won't admit it, but he's curious about her world, too, after the Holy Shit Is An Exile Coming scare and the things Dio has told him in the past. They can swap adventure stories. "So I spent all this time on a sky pirate ship and we did this and that and the other thing and that's why I'll kick your ass at poker" "There was this one time we went to an enormous satellite weapon in space to shut it down and then some other stuff happened and Gentarou made friends with its AI"

Things I would like to plaaaaaayyyyy ... I think it would be fun to one day give them a role-reversal thing. If she gets seriously hurt for some reason he can princess carry her and fuss over her and do all the things she did for him after red thread ;; I also think a bodyswap could be hysterical and terrible at the same time.

IDK mostly I just want them to continue to be cute at each other. Any other ideas from you? :O

Yes please help with her confidence levels. She has people telling her she's fine all the time but it's hard for her to remember it when the issue actually comes up. And she DOES go too far/too much/too fast with trying to pack everything in at once and wanting results. It's why people find her asleep in/under/around vanships, under trees, etc. SO MUCH TOO DO!

Yes, she will be his little sister. And no boys are expressing interest in her I don't think but I will let you know if it happens (and I am aware of it) because I am terrible and want to sic Ryuusei on them, then watch the reactions.

SWAP STORIES! Yes! It gives me (and Alvis) so much joy when people tell her stories -- she loves it so very much. And you can TRY to kick her ass at poker but she's been playing with the mechanics.

Briefly before I duck into class...! And then I will come back and add more later.

Cesare is another big brother figure! It's great and I adore their CR. I think he is her go-to source for science/history/intellectual topics. Al is such a sponge when it comes to new information and genuinely enjoys learning so it's a good relationship.

On the flip side, he's also very active. They can go out and get into trouble or have a snowball war. She was disappointed that he didn't fall for her super tricky fake-out during the snowball fight but oh well... She'll just have to sneak up on him a different way. It's become a mission and she really doesn't fight fair when she wants to win so, huehuehue~

His confidence is also really attractive! She absolutely trusts what he says. This is a trait that Al is trying to build in herself so she watches Cesare a lot and tries to follow some of his examples. How bad of an idea this is remains to be seen by how much she actually picks up.

AND THE DINOSAUR! Yes, I'd like to do that this week or maybe early next if you're available... My internet is a little more regular now so we'll coordinate a time. She's really proud of this project.

I'm kind of thrilled that Al is trying to mimic Cesare's confidence. XD It sounds both adorable and really funny since it can be such a horrible idea at times. He's really not as nice a person to most people as he is to her. There's no reason for him to try to use her, but there's also a good chance he'll eventually think of something and try to manipulate her as well. (If anything right now he's more interested in making sure that her guardians are ok with him being around her because she's a fascinating window into their world and he wants to poke at it via her.) Like I said before, she reminds him a bit of his sister, which gives her some immunity. Unfortunately it also means she'll have to work at it to trick him. I have confidence in her ability to eventually do it. |D

He is quirky and Alvis is really interested in him. Every once in a while he flips a mood or throws a bed and it catches her off guard... But Hamel's enthusiasm for costumes and other hobbies keeps her from running for the hills. Plus Dio said Hamel was a friend so that's good enough for her.

She was really touched that he would make her a costume! And it's led to a project of her own which she'll give him sometime. Dio has had the corner on the market of making Alvis things so there is extra meaning in there that probably wasn't intended.

They could get into terrible mischief together because she's easily influenced. I imagine sooner or later he will have her stealing things for him if he goes about it the right way and she's not made aware of the fact that she's doing something bad.

Hamel likes Alvis well enough. She’s a good kid! And by “good” I mean she gives him food and buys everything he says. So smart and appreciative! Hamel loves people showing enthusiasm for his bullshit because it’s rare and he has an ego the size of a planet. He’s pretty nice to her because 1) she doesn’t give him reasons to be a jackass and 2) he tends to mellow out around younger girls.

He made her a costume because he just loves making them and making people wear them. Her enthusiasm is part of the reason it’s legit cute and not terribly embarrassing, someone who wants to wear a costume new and exciting. Usually it involves blackmail and tears.

And YES, THEY SHOULD GET INTO TROUBLE. Hamel can actually get along very well with kids (one of his best friends in canon is like… ten or eleven) and he’s a terrible, terrible influence. He would totally push her to silly horrible shenanigans and would so touched if she actually goes along. Like, teary eyed touched. He loves to corrupt people.

Dio has saved her skin (and from ulcers) too many times to count now. He's really the only one she comes to with any issues she may have -- good, bad, big, small, confusing, or otherwise. She trusts his advice absolutely and knows that whatever the topic, he'll give her a direction that makes sense. ...Even if it may be difficult. And he doesn't just tell her what to do, which is great but sometimes inconvenient when she is being indecisive and wishy-washy.

They've been together so long now that going off to vacation without him felt weird. She really missed him! It's also made her wonder what will happen when they all leave Camp... Lucciola can't come back with them but apparently he can go other places. So that thought has been realized and is in the corner of her mind now.

Christmas was overwhelming. She wasn't really sure how to react to so many gifts all at once... Sit in a pile of them and stare? Sit in a pile of them while attached to Dio's arm and stare? She's never owned so many THINGS. It feels really grounding/permanent and odd. But very nice. I think she probably also sent a box of belongings home to store at the farm house because she doesn't want to leave one day and be forced to part with them.

She's has so much fun with him this winter. They must have had one on Earth? but everything is different in Camp. I predict a mini disaster with the Nico stuff but it shouldn't be too bad at all. You can bet your buttons that she'll report to him after. And the talk they DID have... Almost all of the issues where her uncertainty over her own emotions and what was happening exactly. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEANNNN? She really appreciates the fact that he doesn't make her feel bad and has to hold her hand through things, h-hah. It's why she trusts him with everything.

Uh, what else... I have more but I have to run to class. This will get me started.
